Guatemala...here I come

Well, I just confirmed my flight to Guatemala City. Still have not gotten a final date for our appointment at the American Embassy or when we will be able to come back home. But, I can't wait any longer. So, I am going to begin my 6 week leave Wednesday, 2/28 and go be with the babe until we get word. Not sure if h will join me or not. It will depend on the timing of everything. She may meet us in Houston and then the 3 of us will fly home and introduce baby J to family and friends. Still many things in limbo. Will keep you posted. Please continue holding us all in love and light and sending your prayers!!

Since we are unable to finalize travel plans, we are focusing our energy on continuing to prepare our space here at home for the arrival of our baby girl!! We spent most of the holiday break painting, putting up a wall mural in her room, and decorating her bathroom. NO doubt about it, baby J and our family is surrounded by much love and support!! As emotionally challenging as this journey has been, we have been blessed by the incredible community of family and friends in our lives!

Stay tuned for the next steps of travel and bringing baby J home!!

got the call!

Storme'n in

We received a call from Guatemala informing us that our case is out of PGN (the final stage). WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO! As you can imagine, we are beyond ecstatic! As of right now we are finalizing business with the agency and attorney’s office. The next step is that Guatemala folks will get a new birth certificate printed, get papers translated into English, send everything to the American Embassy, then we should be able to bring beautiful baby Jaia Milagritos home in 2 – 3 weeks!!! Here are some of the latest pictures of her. What a cutie, eh? We will do our best to keep updates here at the blog for you all! Much love and thanks for all your support, love and prayers as it has helped us more than you ever can know.
