the girls had a traumatic first photo shoot but it was not without reward. they were as cute as could be in about half of the shots. several are one crying, both crying and a few with a pacifier and bottle in the mouth. k & b have adjusted well. j is still adjusting and has good times and hard times. she is so used to being the only baby and liked it that way just fine "thank you"; our job is not an easy one but it has been an adventure and i (h) am always up for adventure!

Guatemala Trip
Monday, January 7
Our world has changed for sure! So as of today we have added two more to our brood. K is beautiful and giggly (finally) B is more serious, outgoing and snuggly. We are now sitting at McDonalds here with K heading for a nap and B climbing all over the place. We will go tomorrow to the embassy and pick up the girls’ visas and the minute we land in Houston they are American citizens! K is sooo photogenic and B has been giving us a more concerned look each time we get out the camera.
This ordeal has sure been different than the first experience but that is what we get when we try and compare. Being here without j is truly the hardest thing we have done in a long time. Sending aim’s home gets us stories of how j tried to call us today... breaking our hearts in a serious way!

Yesterday at 6:45 am we arrived at the American Embassy and by 9am we had completed the process and officially “approved”. So, today at 3:30 pm we will go back to the Embassy to get the girls’ visas and paperwork. Then tomorrow we catch our flight back HOME!! Yahooooo! The girls continue to warm up to us and are allowing their personalities to show more each day. Whew…those first few days were tough on all of us!! We are grateful for the amazing family and friends we have in our lives who helped us get through the challenges. Our bed & breakfast has had internet problems so, we will upload and send pictures as soon as we are able. Much love and gratitude to all of you!!

We are coming home tomorrow, finally. Today was a good day of walking, visiting and going to the embassy for the finalized passports. We finished that in time to grab a bite and get home. Moms has been busy at home getting us doctor’s appointments and such for baby k. baby k has some abnormal development happening with her cranium, we know she is doing well and she is such a beautiful baby we want to keep her that way! We are sooo blessed with these good eatin, good sleepin kiddos. They are down for the night now at 6:15pm we plan to wake them early so naptime and take off should coincide well.
